Title: PANASONIC SVSD85
Post by: xian on March 15, 2004, 03:34:49 pm
Is this supported by any of the standard MC10 plug-ins?

Any advice?

If it's WMDM-compatible or if it shows up as a removable drive it'll work with Media Center 10.

I think it does show up as a removable drive but the files cannot just be copied on (as with the iPod in fact).

As for WMDM-compatible ... I shall try and find out.

Thanks

PS Has anyone tried to use this little player?

You are right.  You cannot simply copy MP3 files to the Card.  The supplied Panasonic software converts them into another format - quite what I do not know.

The WMDM compatibility therefore does not apply.

The player is fantastic, but for me the need to import my library into both Media Center and SD Jukebox is a pain.

Is there any chance of MC supporting this player soon?

xian,

In the future, possibly. Soon, probably not.

Ah well, I shall sit tight then (and keep using my iPod).

Thanks anyway
