I m working to put my tunes to order,
I am creating playlists by the atists name, so I'll have playlists of every artist. I also want to put each song in another playlist. so each song will appear in at least two playlists.
Having to sort out the songs that don't appear in more then one playlist, I tried adding a new view according to this phrase:
[Media Type]=[Audio] -[playlist]=[Artist]
I want MC to display all the songs that are not in a playlists which is the same as the songs artist.
How to do it?

well I left that issue and moved on.
I came up with an alternative way to do that:
I will put the names of the playlists I want to song to appear in, at the keyword tag field, so I need to open a new smart list for every playlist I want and the crtiria would be based on the keyword tag content.
Any other thoghts suys?

I don't understand why you'd want to make a playlist for each artist. Just use a view scheme by artist (or by genre/artist or genre/keyword/artist etc.). Find the artst you want to hear and right click: Play. One doesn't need a playlist to play. Try to use view schemes and Smartlists as much as possible so that your lists grow with you. Ifone have a laylist for an artist and one buys another CD, one has to modify the playlist. With a view scheme by artist, MC does the work.

Its more then a year since I riped my collection for the second time.
I have been putting off taging each song and comipling playlists altogether.
I was keen on adding more music, hopping that I will take the time will playing t to tag it.
I think that tags posses more power then playlists. right?
I am currently practicing taging each song to the according genere, and not the whole album. I am also using the keyword to add phrases that I later use to build playlists from. Ya it seems I am using view scheme to generathe playlists according to each key-phrase.
keywords I currently use are: Drive , easy , hits , kik-it , Morning , spooky , sunset
any other advise ?

I tagged on file's keyword with "alpha beta"
how can I ask MC to generete view according to the keywords so in this case I get two items. one is alpha and the other beta?
now I add a second song with keywords "beta gama"
so I get noth songs in beta and each on in alpha and gama.

A comma delimited field would be best for that.
Check out Doof's explanation of using tagging mode with a comma delimited field in this thread:
