I have Media Center 9.0 running on Windows XP. I have the Media Server running, using port 81. This is at home, I am able to connect to the server using the same machine and Media Center as a client.
Now I'm at work, where I have Media Jukebox 8.0 When I try to connect to my Media Server at home from work, I get an error that Media Jukebox is not the most current version, please update.
Can MediaJukebox 8 connect to MediaCenter 9 - Media Server??
What clients can connect to Media Server, is there a list somewhere?
Thanks....

To be safe, you need the same version between client and server. There is no list. If you are not running the latest version of MJ8, you could try that.

I have Media Jukebox 8.0.400 as my client. When I click on Check for updates, its says none available, so I assume it is the latest release.
So then... I would need to download Media Center 8.0 in order for these two to talk to each other? A. where would I find it? B. I've already paid $40 for MC 9.0
Thanks...

There is no MC8, just use MC9 (available here in Interact).
Your license for MC9 can be used both at home and at work.

Thanks j!!
I've scrapped MJ8 and now have MC91 installed at work. MC91 as a client can connect to my MC90 server at home, just fine.
Cheers,
