? ? ???Hello, thiis is Ralph. I'm new to the forum and the program. I just purchased Media Center 10.0 and am wondering why the burner keeps giving me "Invalid Field in cdb" especially if I'm trying to burn an mp3/data disc over 40-50 files/tracks in length? It happens occasionally with a wav/audio cd but more with the mp3's. Is this a bug or what? Does anyone out there have any idea? (Media Center 10.0 a great program otherwise!) ? ? ?

Please copy your system info from MC Help and paste it here.
If your version is old, please update it.

Have you ever used the "regedit" program to make registry changes? If so, please use the following procedure to create a log file and send it to me...
Turn on MC's logging for CD burning by changing the value of this registry key from zero (0) to one (1):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox\CD Writer\Logger
Then just start up Media Center and try to burn a CD (you can leave test mode checked to avoid creating a coaster). Then exit MC and find a file in the MC program directory called "cdwriter.log" and email that to me. Remember that the log file is overwritten each time you start up MC, so you must send the file before restarting MC.
Thanks!

I'm sorry but when it comes to these things I'm a complete idiot. I only got a "C" in computer class. Where is this"regedit" program and how do I access it? Is it in the program files folder or somewhere in MC? I don't know much about the internal workings of these programs so please help... :( :( :(

Taskbar>Start (button)>Run>type in regedit
In regedit...
Edit>Find>type in logger and check the "match whole string" box
after it finds the first match, hit your F3 key...the string at the bottom of the regedit window should match My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox\CD Writer\Logger
Dbl click on the Logger key and change the value to 1 and click on the OK button. Close regedit and follow the rest of JT's instructions.

I was also able to reproduce this error when trying to burn a data DVD-RW. It seems to be having problems when finalizing the disc. I just want to note that I was previously able to create data DVDs with MC without problems.
John I'll send you a couple logs that were created.
