I created a playlist last night in .92, and attemped to burn 4 audio cds from it. The first failed with a 'key sense' error, the next with 'not enough space on CD in calibration area' (or something similar), and the next two worked fine.
Or so I thought until I went to play them - they each had the correct number of tracks, and each track was the correct length - but each track was silent.
I have burned dozens of CDs in 10.x. The only other burning software I have installed is Nero 6, and it works fine.
BTW - I reported that the DVD burning function (on a different drive, but same computer) also failed.
Now, I'm already braced for the possibility of an 'it's your hardware', but since the same batch of CDs works fine in the same computer and the same drive, I'm wondering if it could be something in MC?
Please post your system info from MC's help menu.
Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, John. The most recent CD burning errors are with drive G.
I have also noticed that my CPU is pegged at 100% (and the mouse is slow) while MC is burning.

It looks like MC is having a problem getting the correct write speed information from the drive (and perhaps other information as well). If you're comfortable editing the registry (with regedit), try this procedure to send me a log file:
Turn on MC's logging for CD burning by changing the value of this registry key from zero (0) to one (1):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox\CD Writer\Logger
Then just start up Media Center and try to burn a CD (you can leave test mode checked to avoid creating a coaster). Then exit MC and find a file in the MC program directory called "cdwriter.log" and email that to me. Remember that the log file is overwritten each time you start up MC, so you must send the file before restarting MC.
Thanks!
