Title: Copy-Undo Tags/Artists grouped help needed.
Post by: zevele10 on March 18, 2004, 09:30:40 am
Running 9.1

TAGS

How can i undo tags change ?
In 9.0 it was in the tag menu.
But here , i cannot find it.

How can i copy one tag field to another?
I would like to copy all my Album-Year  tags to another custom tag field i want to create.
If better to use a "MC standart  one" , fine i will use one.

As i say ,COPY , not move.

Around 20 thousands tags to copy.

Artist [grouped]

I want to get artists grouped by one letter
A- B- C.
I can get it only grouped by 2 or 3 letters, for now.
So, how can i set it?

Thank you.

Self learned some tips concerning ripping problematic CDs.
Will post about it latter.

Undo Tags change using Ctrl + Z.  In 10.0 it's also in the edit menu.

Copy or move fields by selecting the tracks then right click> library tools> move/copy fields.

For your grouping just set the group level to 1.  In 9.1 I think you have to click the column header of the pane and select properties.

Using v10, not sure about 9.1.  In your view scheme, right-click the column to be grouped, "edit view scheme...", highlight the field you want to have grouped, and click the 'edit' button, change the grouping to 1, instead of 2 or 3, and it will make an entry for every letter individually.

WELL
OF CAUSE , everything was more or less under my nose.

It is just that i recently be back to 9.1

I love 9.0 -That's enought for me.

But i cannot find a way to get albums sorted by years  in 9.0

So be back to 9.1 , and lost a little bit.

I get use to it now.

The REALLY funny thing is that 9.0 is much faster than 9.1

And never crash.

But , i cannot say that 9.1 crash very often ,to be fair.

Keping in mind that i use it 10/12 hours a day.
Still 2000 cds to rip and tag/sleeve.. hard road.

Thanks to both of you for this fast answer.
