This has been happening for many versions now.
No apparent pattern. Except that it seems to have something to do with changing tracks. I just "do something" in Media Center, e.g. double-click a track, skip to the next track, stop a track. Sometimes it hangs after automatically advancing to the next track. Happens regardless of display option (visualizations, track info, etc.).
Am I the only one experiencing this? I'm currently running 93. It's annoying.
After what, eighteen months? Two years? My wife is still asking, "When's that thing gonna start working right? When's it gonna be as easy as the CD player?" :-)

Oh yeah...

Once I changed Playback: Stop from Fadeout (slow) to (fast) it took care of all hanging...so I voted No.

Mine is on Stop/Immediate. And "Between Tracks" was set to Crossfade/Agressive. I'll set it to Crossfade/Standard, and see if that makes a difference.

Didn't make a difference. In fact, I've discovered that it seems to have something to do with IE integration. I double-clicked a song, realized MC as frozen, then went back to my desktop and fired up IE to report my results.
Well IE fired up OK, ad I was able to click menu items and favorites links, but actual PAGE hyperlinks were un-clickable. The mouse was useless in the context of an actual page. That is, I couldn't select the MC forum once the forum list page had come up.
Then, as usual, after a minute or so, everything started working.
What's up? Is there any more info I can provide?

DirectSound output here too. Re-booted. Same old problem. I've also noticed regular visualizations have slowed down massively. I'll check the bug list for this build (93).
