There is now a plugin available for these players for MC 10 on the MC 10 handheld plugins page. It is version 9.0.7.

Can't download, the mjp file exists, but the zip doesn't
The mjp is looking for
URL=http://accessories.musicex.com/mediacenter/mc_data/plugins/hh_nomadii1.zip
but it gives the error
The requested URL /mediacenter/mc_data/plugins/hh_nomadii1.zip was not found on this server.

Sorry. The link is messed up. This should be fixed in the next 5 minutes.

Not a great success I'm afraid
Nomad IIc V1.05 64MB internal 128MB external
I could format the external memory OK, didn't try the internal. I could read the existing contents correctly.
The problem is trying to transfer files
However I try, nothing transfers, I get a small window with the title "hh..." It has a red circle with a "X" in it and an "OK" button. If you click OK the "Handheld Progress" window just sits there. If you cancel it and confirm, it just shows "Cancelling..." until I got bored of waiting.
Without touching the hardware, switch to Creative MediaCentre and I can transfer the same files perfectly ( it does mean the card format was fine )
Plugin Manager does show Nomad II V9.0.07

A minor detail If you open the Action Window "Handheld player" how do you specify internal or external memory. You can choose from "Drives & Devices" but not in AW

miked,
This is fixed and will be posted on Monday.

Also,
In regards to the location for the files, with Monday's build, if you want to specify which memory type to send the files to, you should drag and drop the files on the appropriate location in the tree. Dropping on the AW will send to the default which is the internal memory.

Update...
This is all resolved in plugin 9.0.8 which is now available.

Looks Good Steve.
MC V10.0.96 Plugin V9.0.8 Nomad IIc V1.05
Successfully done these:
Format Internal & External Memory
Copied MP3s to Internal & External Memory
Copied with Conversion to Internal & External Memory
Deleted files from Internal & External Memory
One minor problem, the AW Handheld Progress is inconsistant, it went to 100% after 10 files out of 16 and stayed there. When I transfered 36 files it was right, it went up in stages.
It's great to finally be able to use MC for what I bought for, while waiting I did find a load of other uses :D
A question, is there any way to change to number of files it converts before doing a transfer? With the default of 10, I had to up the timeout on the player.

Mike,
The AW progress is fixed and will be posted tomorrow. In the future there will be a way to modify the on the fly conversion count, but for now, set the timeout higher.
Thanks for the feedback.

I have a new Nomad IIc that I want to use with MC10. What software/driver/plug-ins do I need to install to make it work?
Can I download from Creative and avoid using the provided software including PlayCenter?
-
Bullishdad,
Use MC 10.0.97 or higher. Go to the MC 10 plugins page and get plugin 9.0.08 for now and 9.0.09 which should be posted tomorrow and has some improvements over 9.0.08. For drivers, try using the ones from Creative and avoid PlayCenter like you suggested. That should work.
