Title: Netremote, MC10 and m4a files
Post by: surreal on March 22, 2004, 04:37:25 am
I'm using MC10 (latest build) with a library with a mix of m4a and mp3 files.  I'm using Netremote on my pocketpc to control MC10.  This works fine with any and all mp3 files.  However I'm having some hiccups with m4a files.  Selecting individual songs to play works fine - however, if I select an m4a album to play, the music starts but the MC10 interface seems to freeze and feedback to the pocketpc is frozen requiring me to kill both processes.

Any suggestions (other than only selecting individual m4a songs... ;))?

Thanks in advance.

It seems that ...

... MC10 can not play the files in AAC or in M4P !

That is damage ....

I have, also, several audio files in AAC et I can not listen.  :-* ? :-X :( >:(

Do you have Quicktime installed?  Is it recent?  QT 6.4 is required.

JimH,

Not sure who your question is directed to. In my case, yes, I have the latest Quicktime installed (6.5?) and only have this problem when trying to play an m4a album (i.e. when adding more than one m4a track to the current playlist).  mp3 albums of course work fine.  Oh and this only happens when the album is selected from Netremote.  It works fine if I select it using the pc itself.

Thanks

I have QT6.4 installed but even QT can't play my .aac files. They only seem to play in Nokia Audio Manager... and they are created by dbPowerAmp... any help?

Are these files  playable directly in Quicktime?
