If I have media server running, MC 10 won't run the remote server (even though I ensure they are using separate ports).
Is this a known limitation? It would be useful to have both running.

That should work. Maybe you have something else running on the remoteserver port?
-
No, I tried several ports just in case.
I'll have another go...

Firewall?

I don't see how it can be firewall, since I can run either media server or remote server ... but not both.
I just tried it again. Run media server, set remote server to start on port 88. Exit and restart media center. I get:
Error - can't create webremote listener.
Stop sharing and exit media server. Restart media center. Remote server works.

Start a command window and use the command "netstat -an".
This will tell you which ports are currently being used, so you can verify that the two programs don't conflict.

John,
I've noticed that the problem only occurs if media server is started first. If remote server is started first, it is OK to start media server. I want both to start automatically when Windows loads, however.
The problem has been previously reported too.
