I am trying to download ablum covers for my collection and cant seem to find anything.
Ive tried about 100 albums today and didnt get 1 match.
Where does MJ get them from and can i select this etc.
-
I just tried it.
It worked

Hi,
Try this site, it is great for album art...and their listings are HUGE and ACCURATE :o
http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers.php
I believe that MJ doesn't use CDDB for lookup, even though it appears to be an option in Settings.

KS.
I just tried it and it Didn't.
pretty unhelpful really isnt it.
Does MJ use CDDB for album art.
A third party site is okay but i dont want to have to download them all manually

My album art used to work, but now I just get a picture of a broken link where the picture of the album should go. The cover art files were intact but were not being read by MJ. I have upgraded the versions of the product over time and I probably re-searched for album art at some point.
I have tried uninstalling Media Jukebox, removing the original cover art files and then reinstalling to get a "clean" internet search to no avail - the information about the now phantom cover art files keeps coming back up - where is this info stored? (!) And I keep getting the broken links.
Does someone have an older version of Media Jukebox that supports CDDB? Perhaps that is the problem.

I have not been able to do this since buying MJ 8. I just get a blank window saying 'retreiving cover art' or something, and it just sits there. I always have to cancel out of it.

I made a similar post a very short while ago. Bottom line is that it seems to work for some, a little for some, and none for others. Unfortunately I am one of the later.
As of yet I haven't seen any explanation as to why this is happening nor have there been any solutions offered. Hopefully MJ 9 will solve this (though I love the "mine works" posts as if this helps me ;D).
I've resorted to using the artist info link to AMG and saving the album covers. Obviously not nearly as convenient as clicking one bottom; but not too big a deal.
Good luck.

Stay tuned. This will be fixed shortly in MJ.

My version of MJ (8.0.388) also is not able to retrieve album "cover art" automatically during the "ripping" process. Hopefully as "JimH" states this will be fixed soon.
I followed "babyhuey's" suggestion on using the AMG "artist info link" to save the album cover. Pardon my ignorance, but now what am I supposed to do with it?

Any news Jim. ;D
This appears to have only stopped working in the last couple of builds.
I have loads of new ones i am waiting to get.
Please can you let us know? ;)
Regards
Graham

It is fixed in the latest build of MJ 9. A new build of 8 with the fix will be released before the end of this week.
-
Because you pay such small money for MJ,all your music is under 'promo-or test pressing'
In this case just a white sleeve.
An $$$$$$ for life upgrade send to me may make things better next week

Bump
Jim is Sunday the end of the week? or the beginning of the next one?
Your hopefully!

? ....or maybe the end of next week?

I don't think they quite made it last friday, MJ9 weekend build did not make it also.
Maybe today.

? Bump ?
What might that mean?

What might that mean?
Just to "bump" it back to the top of the queue to remind people its still there and has an action on it.

Mike,
I use a mega search engine (Copernic) and tried to find album covers like I'm assuming you're looking for. Try: mikesrecords.com, or search a specific artist. Good Luck!

I gave a demo of MJ8 to a friend this week. Unfortunately one of the first things I showed him was how easy it was to get cover art... NOT. After several unsuccessful attempts on various albums I had major egg on my face. :(
