I've been using two computers to burn my CD's to a USB harddrive.
I use windows media player to burn the cd's as WMA files.
I have a folder of music that Media jukebox sees when I use import media but does not add the songs to the media library.
Can I get some help?
-
You need to import again. MJ and MC don't do this automatically.
-
well they may not do it but i made a plug-in for Media Center 9 and above and it will import any new files in dirs you point it to.
so if you have a shared folder for P2p or just a folder you put music in it will auto import it for you.

Jim,
I have imported several times with no luck. The import message at the end says 912 files none added. itried changing thte options about tags and using file names and to no avail.

so what is it not importing that it should?
-
I ripped some CD's to a folder on an external harddrive.
(all my other music files are stored on this drive in various folders that have imported just fine.)
If I open the folder the files are there and tagged as media jukebox files. If I click on them I can play them but if I ask media juke box to look in that folder and import these files to the library it does not do it.

I guess you did not want to answer the question.

When you rip a CD, the files are imported by MJ automatically.
Try a search for them in MJ.
MJ has a Help section that may tell you more.

I ripped these files on a different computer using windows media player and then copied the folder to this harddrive.

Windows Media Player has something called "personal security". It encrypts the files unless you turn it off. Try a search on Google or check Microsoft to learn more.
