Title: Real's .ram files
Post by: IanG on March 29, 2004, 12:50:58 pm
http://www.realnetworks.com/resources/contentdelivery/documentation/publish_ram_standalone.html explains the use of .ram files to play Real Media files.  These files can be left on a pc when the browser's finished with them.  Just to make life difficult, .rm files can have the .ram extension and MC will play them.  If MC tries to play a .ram file containing a hyperlink, it hangs.

Jim - sorry, I tried to find a site that would reliably leave a .ram file behind, but sod's law rules!  NASA TV (http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/) often does it, but not tonight!
