Title: Album Artist (auto) and Thumbnails

Hi,

i have a problem with Album Artist (auto) and Thunmbails.
In a folder, i have many MP3s from hundreds of singers, but with only one Album ( Single) and one Image File (single)
But when i use the list Style/Albums Thumbnails, all the file are separate in different images.
After few researchs, i undestand the problem come from the fileds Album Artist (auto), i did'nt succes to solve my problem ( have all the files from the same folder, the same album and different artist in the same Albums Thumbnails)
(Sorry for my english, even for me it's confusing when i read what i wrote...)

hey there. im happy to help, but first i need to understand the question...

am i right in understanding that you have a bunch of mp3's in a folder but you want them to come up under one album image (but currently they are all coming up separately)?

Try setting the "Album Artist" field for all your tracks to "Various"

In fact it works but all the artist field changes to ' Various' so it's not the good solution.

An other proposition?

no. just change the 'album artist' field to various, not the 'artist' field.

I'd recommend an upgrade to Media Center 10 -- it has improved handling of cases like this in its album artist logic.

i'd listen to matt and upgrade to mc 10.

however, even with mc10  ive sometimes noticed i need to manually re-categorize the album-artist field to 'various' (while leaving the artist as the artist for that track) so that there is only 1 pic in the thumbnail view.
