Anyone have any idea why I'm receiving this error message while trying to restore my library from MJ's backup zip file.
Critical error: Media Jukebox failed to open the database file "playlistx.jmd" for saving. (a file could be read-only or corrupt).
I receive this multiple times in an "ok" dialog box.
Your help is appreciated,
Blair

My Guess:
it may have been backed up with an older version of MJ

Not in this case. I'm using MJ 8.0.399 which I've had since its' release and the backup I was trying to restore was from this version.

I sugest you re-import.
you might can open the Ziped backup and replace each of the data files in there with the ones in the data dir
then re-start MJ8

Here's a shot in the dark. Rather than use MJ's Restore, create two directories (temp-orig and temp-ext). Copy your current Media Jukebox\Data and all it's sub's into the temp-orig dir. Now use WinZip to open MJ's backup zip file. Extract the contents (should be just jmd's...uncheck the "use folder names" option in WinZip) into temp-ext. Make sure MJ isn't running. Now just copy the extracted files from temp-ext over top of the existing files in Media Jukebox\Data. Now run MJ. What happens?
Note: WinZip 8.1 (at least) has the ability to look for errors in the zip. Function is Actions>Test. Try it before you extract.
