Title: Can't get my player back

I just had to reinstall windows xp, and have been trying to get Media center back. I have my reinstall code but it did not work. I got you to email the code because I thought I may have wrote the wrong code down, but same thing,error message. I need my player back.           Am I doing something wrong. I'm new at this.     Thanks

Thing is  I tried to download the player again and it downloaded and then I sat waiting for the install process but nothing happens. I tried media center 9 & 10 but it just won't install.
