Now that 10 is out the door any chance of getting support for the ID3v2 track position (TRCK) and CD fields (TPOS) as documented here:
http://www.id3.org/id3v2.3.0.txt

As long as we are making specific requests.....
There was a pretty nice list of suggestions that was assembled for the transition from 9.1 to 10. Does anyone have a copy?
Now that 10 is released, should we repost it with the implemented features crossed off? Should we add to it, or start a new one form scratch for 10.1/11?
I know there are new features requested daily (hourly?), the list we had seemed like a good way to keep things straight and even flesh out some of the ideas people had.
What do people think?

Great idea. I don't have the time to do it myself.

I Request We Have No List.
Besides It Loooked like the forum worked better in requests.

I thought this was fixed once i remember back in MJ7 or MJ8 the same thing was brought up in ref to track#'s and total tracks.
-
Are you sure because Matt said they would look at adding support for it.
-
Maybe it was never fixed but i know it was brought up.

Rhino, this is something we'd like to do.
The only hitch is that it's not a very straightforward change. Media Center doesn't always track albums so it can't easily know this number should be.
Also, if we do figure out how to track it, some people will not want their track numbers stored this way, so it needs to be an optional system.
So, we need to chew on this one some more before we jump...

Matt,
What I am seeing though is that even if I change, say, a rating the track number gets overwritten.
Can't you change your file updating routine to say:
If has existing track number and is the same as the old one then use the old ID3v2 field?
At least it would then preserve the contents when changing unrelated data.

Done next build. Please let us know if it works as expected.

I just hate the way you guys are always dragging your feet. I can't believe you can't get it done in the last build. Don't you guys have a time machine? What's wrong with you. :-X

"Time Tunnel" was one of my favorite shows back in the 60's

Hi Matt,
Did you mean .115 or .116? If you meant .115 then it doesn't work.
-
It'll be in build 116.
-
Cool.

Works like a charm ... thanks Matt.
