Title: New icons don't appear

"New" icons not appearing for users of previous versions.

The new tree view icons that most users can't see. They're similar in style to the large media icons in the upper right corner. Apparantly most users are just getting the same old icons they always had.

I seem to remember some months ago when some icons were changed this happened

If I remember correctly we had to delete the following folder and then reinstall the latest build - C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Data\Default Art.

Maybe worth a try.

Nope, no change. I've tried deleting the default art folder, and the thunderstorm skin folder and re-installing, but no new icons.

When MC loads art, it first checks here:
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Data\Custom Art

If it can't find it, it'll load from here:
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Data\Default Art

So, I'm guessing you have some old art in the "Custom Art" folder.  Rename that folder and restart MC.  Let us know if that does the trick.

I don't have a Custom Art folder, and I'm still seeing the old icons.

That's just some concept art we have.  What's in the current build is what we decided to go with for v10.

It was an accident if we put that art in a public build.

I kinda like the icons shown here, but the ones you shipped are fine with me too.

Can I vote for the concept art?

I really don't like the icon for the pictures in the current build.

The camera is much better.  And whatever they end up being, having the tree icons match the mode icons makes a ton of sense.

Chalk up another vote for the concept art.

When there was a poll for whether or not people had the "new" art or the old, what the heck were the people smoking who said they had the new art?

Oooops . . . I listed this as a "bug" on the new build just a few days ago . .  and NOW I come across this thread. Don't I feel foolish. Not a bug after all. Hmmm.... the new file tree icons are still being used in some of the online promotional material though, so it's confusing . . . Oh well, I don't mind the old icons at all, I just figured that the absense of the "new" icons were a bug/remnant from installing MC 10 over 9.1.... Still, the new/concept icons looked cool.
