Title: How do I change the "Websites" available in MC10?
Post by: WinoOutWest on April 14, 2004, 01:09:31 pm
I remember doing this moons ago - but can't seem to repeat it now.

I want to save my own URL for local TV Listings in the Webview when watching TV.  Can't find it anywhere....

Thanks,
Wino

Again I ask... Anyone?

I've got my own customized TV Listings on a  webpage (Via Snapstream) and I'd like to have that web page available when watching TV....

When you set up TV you can add a URL when you add the channel.  Is that what you mean?

Yes an no.

I haven't entered any URLs and when I switch to "Web" from live TV I can switch between Yahoo TV and TV Guide.  I'd like to have my URL added or replace this(these) as there is only one website I will use.  Hence, also why I don't want to enter the same URL on all 65 of my channels...

This is a *very* old request that never seemed to catch JRiver's fancy.  See the thread http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=11442;start=msg73411#msg73411 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=11442;start=msg73411#msg73411) and http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=16267;start=msg115539#msg115539 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=16267;start=msg115539#msg115539) for some of the prior discussion.

I think Pocket gave up...

not sure we're talkin' apples and apples here.  All I want to do is have a single static web URL available to view my TV Listings.

Is there a "backdoor" to change the exisitng Websites maybe?

I see what you're saying...  you don't want to have to change each of the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Jukebox\Properties\TV Channels\" keys to add the same URL to each channel.

Maybe you want to know if changing the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Jukebox\TV View Websites" key changes the websites that are available (Edit:  The two websites originally listed in the key are Yahoo TV! and TV Guide) when you toggle from TV to Web.  You'd think the answer is yes, but it seems to have no effect.  Someone asked about this a year or so ago, but I can't find the post on INTERACT.

I'm guessing you'd be happy if the "TV View Websites" key worked, right?  Sorry for my confusion earlier.

lol... yes I would be happy!

I don't have that key in my setup.  But those sites have got to be stored somewhere?!

Perhaps it's left over from an older version...  JRiver?

There is currently no way to do what you want.  We may add something in the future.  This is not a binding promise.
