Title: Critical Error #10 in MC 10.0.110, help!
Post by: Tril0byte on April 15, 2004, 02:31:26 pm
Hi,

I installed the trial MC 10.0.110, and am getting the following error after 1-3 minutes of use:

"Media Center has encountered critical error #10.  Some essential component is missing or corrupted.  Please uninstall and reinstall the latest version of Media Center.  If this error persists, report it to JRiver."

I'm running WinXP SP1, P4-2GHz, 512MB RAM.  I have an MP3 library of about 1000 songs.

I have disabled any extra plugings that I have downloaded, I have reinstalled the app several times, but to no avail.  What is the cause of this error, and how can it be resolved?

MC is a great product, I've been searching for a long time to find a single app that meets all of my requirements, and MC is it.  I am going to purchase it if I can get past this error.

Thanks for reading.

Some cracks cause this.

An uninstall / reinstall may fix it.

I should have tried uninstalling first.  Thanks, that did the trick.
