Hey, I have buy a license for MC 9 can I use this license also for MC 10?
Thanks, Rudolf
-
This page summarises the upgrade options
http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/buy_faq10.html
If you have an MC9 license, it won't work in 10.0, but you can upgrade it for $9.98
-
But if i wish to upgrade and click to purchase, then the price is 14,98 $ and not 9,98 $.
Please tell me whatīs wrong..What i have to do to upgrade for 9,98 $.
I have purchased 8.0 and the upgrade to 9.x...
Please tell me the reason..
Thank you very much..

That means that you have a V8 license. It works with V9.
Details can be found here:

smegmi,
Did you actually spend money when you upgraded from MJ 8 to MC 9?
I had a MJ 8 license and got the free upgrade to MC 9. But my license was still for MJ 8.
So when I now upgraded to MC 10 I paid $ 14.98. And I am happy with that. ;D
-
but in the F&Aīs i read this:
"A Media Center version 9 license can be upgraded to version 10 for $9.98. This includes anyone who who started with a version 8 license and then paid to upgrade it to version 9. Either way, the price is the same."
?

Peter,
You have a V8 license. You did not upgrade to V9. If you think I'm not correct, please e-mail me your receipt.

OK here's my issue:
1) I paid full price for MJ 7 a while back - $30 bucks
2) I paid full price for MJ9 less than a year ago - about $40 bucks
3) Now I have to pay ANOTHER $10 for v10?
I am a big proponent of your program - I love it, and I tell all my friends. However, I'm not sufficiently happy about it right now to pay the extra $10. Here's what I don't like:
a) I still can't get my IPOD to sync error-free. I've checked these boards ad-nauseum to not much avail. I can now sync all my files, but I still have errors - some songs cut off early, and the .m4p files from Itunes don't play at all.
b) I understand about the cost benefits of online support, but you'd think that you could call someone about sales at JRiver.
c) I got the upgrade to v10 without realizing I'd have to pay for it. Now I can't go back to v9- I've installed v10! This seems anti-customer.....
d) It doesn't appear from the v10 trial I am using that it is all that different from v9. Why the upgrade fee?
Thanks for your response.

I also Paid full price for V9 less then a year ago, I did pay the upgrade fee.
The small upgrade fee IS well worth it!

now i have buy the version 10, but my question is:
is it possible to download the latest version V9 anywhere?
Because, what are with the user who used version 9? If they donīt have a backup from the version 9?
Greetings...

It's even tougher for us v9.0 users. I had somehow never saved my copy of the .exe file, but some very helpful people here on the forum arranged to send me a copy and I now have the .exe file and my key codes stored permanently on CD!
