MC has problems dealing with internal cover art on MP3 CD's and images on data CD's.
I discovered this after I painstakingly catalogued all my data CD's. Later I did a search and noticed thumbnails weren't appearing for offline CD's.
I thought I was going mad as I had spent 8 hours cataloguing these files! Then I discovered the problem. I had changed my thumbnail view from large to medium thumbnails. MC was only generating thumbnails for the large thumbs view
Thumbnails of cover art are generated but only in one size. Is it possible to generate all thumbnails for CD's, like you've just introduced for files on the PC?
Would be really useful. As it stands, if you change your preferences for thumbnail size all your cover art and images on CD 'disappear'.
Cheers

Bump, again. :-[

Do you store your album art in the "artist/album/folder.jpg" structure? MC doesn't alter that file.

No the cover art is stored in the tag. But my problem isn't with the image it is with the thumbnails that MC generates from that image.
J River guys. Did my post make sense? A lot of good changes were made to thumbnail generation recently but they did not address thumbnails of images on data CD.
E.G., Say I catalogue a data CD with images. At the time I do this my thumbnail size preference is set to Large. MC will only generate large size thumbnails.
Say a couple of weeks later I change my thumbnail size view to extra large. New data CD's will have image thumbnails generated in extras large size only.
Now if I view or search my library by thumbnail view [with my preferences set to medium] I will not see any thumbnails for images on data CD's.
In a nutshell, viewing thumbnails for images on data CD's only works if you never change your List Style Thumbnail Options.
Any chance of looking at this guys?

i think it did at one time, and they changed it to generate only the size the user has selected to save space \ speed.
I don't use thumbnail view but i remember something like this, if you do a search going back upto a year you may find out.
