i don't know if you guys are familiar with such softwares as MixMeister (Free Demo Version) (http://mixmeister.com/) but they offer a really cool transition effect that i wish MC supported: Beat Matching Transitions. It's quite simple and all it does is 3 things:
- Using the BPMs of the current track and the next ones, it changes the speed of both tracks during the crossfade for smoother playbacks.
- It also looks for the best part to overlap the two songs and synchs the beats. The results are 90% of the time absolutely amazing.
So I was wondering if this is somethign we could one day see in MC. Would that be possible?

Alright, I just realized that my description might sound very vague to a lot of people so I made a little mp3 sample. The sample includes 5 songs automatically mixed together. By that I mean that all i did was to put them in BPM order and then applied the "beat matching" option. Btw, that option is real time and doesn't use a lot of cpu.
To avoid having a huge file, I trimed the middle part of each songs. That's where you should hear a short blank.
Also, to help you guys hear where each transitions are, here's a screenshot of the timeline:

Note how MixMeister automatically chose which segement to overlap and the crossfade settings.
The mp3 can be found HERE (http://members.aol.com/safew/mms.mp3)
Hope this helps
