PRICE and UPGRADE info is here:

10.0.127 (4/29/04)
1. NEW: Updated to Monkey's Audio 3.99 decoder and encoder.
2. Fixed: Opening two popup windows in Theater View could cause them to fight with each other for the focus.
3. Changed: Drag-n-drop to the tree would only work if the drop was over the text. (instead of over the entire item)
4. NEW: Added distinction between Cut and Copy commands for playlist and My Computer views. (let us know if something is missing or illogical)
5. NEW: Added ability to hold Ctrl while dragging files to tell MC to copy. (only currently changes My Computer behavior)
6. NEW: Cut + Paste to a playlist won't allow duplicates. (Copy + Paste will)
7. Chaged: Playlist tree items will accept drops from any other tree item that has files.
8. Changed: Increased maximum column auto-size width.
9. Fixed: In some cases, a tree branch that was manually expanded could get auto-collapsed when switching items.
10. Fixed: In-place editing of non-imported files could automatically auto-complete an entry to somnething different.
10.0.126 (4/28/04)
1. Fixed: On non-XP machines, tagging an MP3 could cause its filename to switch to the short filename version in some cases. (use Library Tools > Rename From Properties to fix)

Not sure when this started.
Choose File > Quick Play > My Computer > Control Panel
Seems to just recursively bring up "My Computer" options, meaning Control Panel begets My Computer on down the chain...

I just upgraded from 10.0.118 to 10.0.127
When I used Tag and Rename as I always do to re-tag my newly downloaded iTunes files, I am now getting no sound when I attempt to play the song.
Any Ideas?
Thanks...below is an example of one of the newly tagged files...

File / Library / Library Manager / Edit - only the name of the library can be changed - the location's grayed out.
"Clone" doesn't seem to do anything and there's no reference to it in Help.
Duplicate libarary names can be entered, though they're not saved.

I don't think this is a bug but I would like the option to turn it off as , like you say it makes monitor 1 hard to use.
(same for full-screen view)

when im watching video in full screen mode - output to a 2nd monitor - and i flick over to windowed view then back to full screen the volume jumps up a few decibels...
does anyone else get this?
-
also just noticed that when i use "artist album" as a view scheme i actually get something more like "year album" is this by design?
[edit] - ive also noticed that the hairstyle view keeps stealing focus. i have a 2 monitor setup. 1 is big for hairstyle, 1 is small for whatever else...
if i have hairstyle up and im typing an email the MV screen keeps stealing the focus from the window that im actually using
[edit 2!] - i dont know if its possibel, but it would be great when im navigating tv listings from inside the TV Tuner in MC that the forward and back buttons on my mouse would work like they do in IE. here they shoot me up and down the tree in the left hand pane of MC...
thanks

I have noticed what would be called 'ringing' in the phone world when one APE file reaches the end and another is going to play.
Best I can describe this is a stuttering slice of the music that sounds like it is in a tunnel.
Only started happeneing and happens for certain with files I have converted from APE 3.xx to APE 3.99 using MC for te conversion.
None of my MP3s do this, only with APE, and with any APE I have converted using MC.

This could be a bug:
Using Auto Gordian Knot 1.19b, I have taken some of my hard disc movies and transcoded them to Xvid (Mpeg4) format. They play perfectly with Nero 6 Showtime. When I try and play them with MC10.0.127 one of two things happens:
1. If I attempt to select the AVI file from outside MC, in Windows Explorer, by right clicking and selecting "Open With - Media Center" - MC opens and begins to play the movie, and a few seconds later pops up a window over MC stating an error has been encountered and would I like to send the error info to Uncle Bill's house for examination (just kidding about the Uncle Bill's house part). If I don't click on "Send" or "Cancel" in this dialog box, the movie will continue to play perfectly behind the error dialog box. If I do click on "Send" or "Cancel" MC10 crashes.
2. If I open MC first and select the movie from MC's internal explorer tree, the movie opens and plays perfectly full screen. However, the minute I change from full screen to Standard mode, the same error dialog box opens indicating an error has been encountered, and MC crashes.
In both cases, as the movie plays, there is no sound except at the very beginning for a second or two - just before the dialog box error pops up.
In MC Options > Files Associations, I tried setting MC to associate with ALL files types. That didn't help.
So the question is, why does MC10 generate this error when it seems to able to read the Xvid AVI file and play it? Is this a bug?

As posted in this thread....
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=21181
I have been having random MC9/10 lockups that I could not determine the cause. This weekend, I realized that it is only occuring during VBR MP3 playback. What happens is the song stops playing, MC 9/10 CPU usage increases to >95% and memory usage jumps all over the place - from 30000k to >400000k. The only way out is the end the task.

The option to auto size columns in the list view should take into account the size of longest entry when it is bolded (i.e. currently playing) so the ehtry stay readable... :-)

Dragging files to MC for import shows imported file count as 1 less than the actuall number of files...
