Title: ape version?

How do I tell what ver of ape I have on mc?  I see the plugin folder, but can not tell what encoder version I am using.  I did just install the most current version of mc and it should have ape 3.99, but I just wondered how I can check this before I rip 300 cds.

Rip one file and have a look at file type info.
Mine says: Monkey's Audio 3.99 (normal).
