Title: Summary of MC10 changes
Post by: MarkGrigsby on May 02, 2004, 05:26:30 am
I tried searching but can't find this...  Is there a summary of all the changes between MC9 and MC10 available somewhere?

Thanks,
Mark.

I just can't understand why an important list like this is not available from JRiver. Or are you "imjustagamer" an undercover JRiver employee.

Second thing I already mentioned on this board. Why isn't there an order in the listed changes. Makes it easier to read if all fixes are put together and also all changes, etc. etc.

If I read a "fixlist" for my ATI videodriver I'm scanning for errors I encounter and not the whole list. I assume that not everyone installs every MC update. If there are improvements for things I'm looking for then I install.  Maybe I'm only talking for myself.  ;D

Just dump the file into a spreadsheet and sort it... The Fixed, New etc, headers are already there...

I agree with MarCies and hit_ny.

What is needed on JRiver website and also here is a nice clean list of important improvements in v.10. So that 9.1 users can easily see what they are missing.

I think that it may be difficult for JRiver stuff after about 100 new revisions quickly remember what exactly was in 9.1 and what was introduced later.

What we can do here is to give our helping hand. What if everybody here writes about one favorite improvement? That way we eventually end up with a nice list of improvements.

Hmm. I wanted to start the list, but it's difficult also for me to remember what was in the 9.1. Maybe I'm getting old... I am sure that others here have better brains.   :)

Any comment's? That list should be a new thread with a proper subject name, I think.

Yes this is possible, but why should a customer do the work of the supplier?

Don't think that we should do marketing of a product. That's up to the supplier. Possible negative effect is that we make the product look different from what they want it to look like. Everyone describes things their way.

I agree on a new thread for all those changes, but they have to be sorted. Maybe a sort of database structure. Think it can be very handy for them as well. They have to keep a list with all the updates.

I wonder if any of these suggestions will be implemented.  ::)

I guess I'd rather them work on features and problems then updating a New/Fixed document all the time...

I am sure that they will update there main page to show the Major differences between 9 and 10...
