Title: MC 9/10 VBR MP3 playback crash

For the last few months, I have been having problems with MC9 and 10 randomly locking up.  Taskmanager shows MC using >90% processor with memory usage rapidly changing from 10,000 to 300,000k.  MC is complete unresponsive to any commands.  I have been looking to see why this was happening for the longest time.  This weekend, I finally realized this seems to be only happening during playback of VBR MP3s.

Any Ideas?

Jim, I think I am upto 116 of v10.

So, I haven't tried the latest but the problem has been around for quite awhile, I just never could figure out what the problems was.  It was just this weekend that I realized the crash always happens with VBR playback.

Anything I can do to help pinpoint the problem?

Update and confirm the problem exists.  Then report it in the thread for that release.
