I have migrated my tuneserver computer to MC from MJ, and just ripped a few new CDs. I rip to APE format, and always have.
The computer that plays the tunes through my stereo is still running MJ, and it is not capable of importing the tracks ripped by MC!! (Actually, it imported 2 out of 38 tracks, but those tracks claim to each be several hundred hours long and won't play in MJ).
ALL tracks, old and new play well in MC.
Is this incompatibility inherent, or is there some setting I missed to make sure that the APE files will play on both products?
TIA,
Mike

Media Jukebox doesn't support the latest APE decoder.
The best solution would probably be to switch to MC all around.

That is what I was trying to evaluate - I use the server and system only for music, and it has been working fine for me.
I wanted to see what benefits I might see from the extended tagging and the different interface.
MC seems to have a much bigger footprint than MJ.
If I uninstall MC, will MJ re-appear, since I chose not to uninstall it when I installed MC?
Thanks,
Mike
