I cannot get Esi Asio 2.0 drivers to work with j.media center. My card is an Esi waveterminal 192x. I have no problem with wuschefs generic driver asio for all or direct driver. Can someone help me solve this problem. Itīs frustrating not to get the best out of the card. I suppose that the asio 2.0 driver might be better?
Best regards/Henrik

no one?

it works perfectly with winamp and foobar. But i donīt wanna use them....
-
Make sure you're using the latest MC 10. There were some ASIO improvements since 9.1.
-
Í have the latest vers. Iīm only evaluate it at the moment and found it very nice. But i donīt want to use the generic asio driver to play. I have looked at all settings and cannot find anything.
-
It may be the driver.
-
How come the driver works in foobar and winamp. The card itīs an Esi card. Any suggestions?

I'm using a Revo without issue. What problem are you having exactly?

" There was an error startin playback. Make sure that your system has a valid soundplayback etc....

Use DSP Studio to force the sample rate to 48 khz. It's possible your card (or that driver) can't change its clock speed to 44 khz.
Also, turn on the ASIO diagnostics option in MC > Options > Playback > ASIO > Configure and let us know what that says when you start playback.
Thanks for helping.

Asio playback starting.

The driver is failing to start for some reason. We haven't seen this before. Does the channel shift or device make any difference in MC's ASIO settings?
Since any ASIO driver should provide bit-perfect transfer, would it work to use one of the other ASIO drivers that you said works alright with your card?
-
Channel shifting donīt make any difference. regardng other drivers, the Asio for all driver is an generic driver for those cards that doesnīt support ASIO usually. I have also contacted the Esi support to help me with this issue.
-
Iīm still awaiting an answer from ESI.
-
Still not solved. I would be tough to abandon this great program because of thart...
-
Your only hope (with MC) is probably the driver. We believe MC's ASIO is implemented as it should be. The problems we do see now seem to get resolved by switching drivers.
-
Correct. But Asio for all is an generic driver for cards that donīt support asio 2.0. Iīm very confused why i get my driver to work in foobar and not MC.
