Yikes...moved my MC to a different drive (the old one was getting too full), and now I can't get G-Force to work! I reinstalled it, uninstalled about 20 times! i even tried going back to earlier versions when I fist got it going (.116), all to no avail. Made sure that I had the latest version from the download site, and still zip, zilch, nada :'( What am I doing wrong here? I open MC, start a song, choose display options, display plugin. G-Force. Then go to Now Playing and it frrezes! I can chane to the other options, but G-Force just hangs. It is most likely something realy easy...but I am missing it. Thanks Bet

Mine has done that ever since G-Force for MC was released. Since I'm not much into visualizations, I uninstalled G-Force after trying to get it to work for a while.

No... I'm not using the latest build.... but it's not a new problem for me... so it probably won't matter much which build it is. I also haven't bothered trying G-Force again with recent builds.

It was working fine, until I changed the drive it was installed on..went from C to H....hummm. :-\

Does the standalone version of G-force work? It will be at
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Visualizations\G-Force\G-Force.exe
or in your case, probably:
H:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Visualizations\G-Force\G-Force.exe
start some music, run the .exe, see if it works.

gpvillamill...it comes up and starts, but doesn't pulse to the music..I even chose a great piece from dance class with a strong beat: "A Love Worth Waiting For" by Shakin' Stevens. ?
-
Ok...this makes no sense at all...I uninstalled from drive H and reinstalled to drive C...and now g-force is working!!! My library, however was wiped out! Good thing I have everything backed up! ? ?

I installed G-Force with Media Centre 10 (several times!) followed the instructions very carefully - but G-Force is not evn listed as a Display Plug In (Player>Display Options> Display Plug-In). Tried uninstall / reinstall both programs but no change. G-Force does run stand alone if I click on it's exe. Can anyone help me please?

Chuck, had a similar problem, but by having both on the same drive (the main one, in my case "c") it seemed to solve the problem. Noe it works fine - don't know why, but it does. Hope this helps ;D Bet
-
Sadly I have both applications installed to their default directories so both already on C-drive.
-
Chuck, which version of 10 are you using? I am using 10.133 - found that some of the later versions .136, 137 didn't work well for me...being no techie, I'll have to bump this one to someone who knows this stuff. sorry I couldn't help. Bet

I'm using 10.0.137. I can't get Media Center to recognise G-Force at all. I had the same proble with my original Versio 10.0 install. Both Media Center & G-Force are in their default installl locations. Both installed cleanly & both work on their own - they just don't seem to be able to find each other! Can anyone offer any suggestions please? Chuck
(Thanks for your help Bet)

Ok - finally figured this out. When i did an update, G-Force went all screwy...it was sluggish if it played at all, so went back to .134. not being one to give up that easily, I started trying different methods to this updating madness. After many, many tries (uninstalling and re-installing with various plugins enabled/disabled) here's the winning combo....i uninstalled G-Force, the did the update and re-installed G-Force. Then shut down my computer and
did a re-start. Then I opened MC , started playing a song and then chose G-Force. And it worked!!! No stuttering, no, sluggishness or blank screen. Been 16 hrs now and no problem. ;D Bet
