Trying to upgrade my ver 9 licence to 10, selecting "buy" from the help menu brings up "Failed to initiate media center purchase". Any ideas? I've tried reinstalling / installing but still the same. Thanks for any help in advance,
Mark

Make sure you have the latest build. It's 10.0.130.
Firewalls can also be a problem.
-
Thanks for the quick reply. It is the latest build, and i've tried disabling the firewall. It doesn't even start my browser, just comes up with the error message.
Thanks,
Mark

Can you get to this page with IE?
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi
-
Are you using Internet Explorer as your default browser?
-
That link works fine and I am using IE as my default browser. The error message seems to come up straight away without even trying to launch IE.
-
Try uninstalling and reinstalling.
-
I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling several times but still get the same error message. The other links on the help menu open the correct page in IE.
System details are (don't know if they're any help) :

I don't know the answer, but try this thread:

BE CAREFUL not to post your license if you need to post the URL you're using.

Tried everything suggested but still couldn't get it to work, so I've installed the program on a clean install of Win 98 and upgraded that way, then used the licence key to register on Win XP,
Thanks for the advice anyway,
Mark
