I faithfully upgraded to v10 of MC but now I can't download to my trusty Rio as the Plugin doesn't work in v10. Anyone know when/if this will be fixed?
I HATE the Rio Download manager... please don't make me use it!

WinoOutWest,
No need for a plugin in MC 10. Instead, go to Tools->Options->Devices and check the box for 'Enable WMDM support'. Your Rio should then be visible in the tree.

I was just about to tell you were fulla cr** (not in so many words of course) ;D because I had tried that unsuccessfully yesterday.
* Then I uninstalled the old v9 Rio S10 plugin and tried again.... works like a charm!
Thanks a bunch!
You saved me from Rio Music Manager!
MC Rocks!

Maybe I spoke too soon??
MC recognizes the Rio Internal and SD card now.
I can see the exisiting music on the Rio. When I try to drag some new files onto it I get the following error message:
"Error trying to add the following files to the device:
{list of files}
Note: Make sure you aren't trying to add internet streams."
My setup is such that I have a Server with all my tunes running media server. The machine I have my Rio attached to is connected to my network and plays files from the Media Server without issue.
Running v 10.130.
Any ideas?
Cheers!

That won't work. The files need to be local.

Is this new in 10? I coulda sworn that it worked via the media server earlier?
-
You shouldn't swear.

You sound like my mother!
::)
So should I submit a feature request to be able to transfer from the Media Server Library or would that be asking for something undoable?
-
We won't do it at this time.
-
Okay,
Mapped a local drive and created a new library based on the mapped drive. Lost my playlists tho... not a biggie for this - I'll just switch back to the Media Server when I'm done.
Thanks for the awesome response!
MC STILL rocks!
Cheers!

Like WinoOutWest, I also have 2 PC's with one running as a server and the other running as a client and with a cd burner and mp3 player attached.
I am 100% positive that in version 9 I could transfer files to an mp3 player attached to the client PC and also burn CD's via the client PC. I have done this too many times to remember and it was a feature I relied upon heavily.
After upgrading to version 10 this feature no longer works and I get the same messages as WinoOutWest mentions ("error trying to add the following files to device").
Was this feature intentionaly removed? (and if it was, why, as it is such a good feature?)
If it wasn't and it is just a bug, any chance of it getting fixed?

David,
It is possible to readd this and we may readd it later, but not at this time.
Sorry,

Well my vote is to get it added back. It is an irritation to have to be "on the server" to download to my portable.
