Today I go to fire up MC 10.0.118 and I'm prompted with the familiar 30 Day Trial has expired screen. "Hmmm..." I thought to myself as I began to enter the key and reactivate it. I then download and install MC 10.0.133 and again I'm prompted with Trial has expired notice. I install the key again. Now it seems that every time that I want to use MC, I have to use a restore. I know that I've been away from the board here for a few weeks, did I miss something in between build 118 and 133?

Have you checked that your computer clock is set correctly?
-
Yeah, it's set correctly. I've had a licsence for version 10 since it's early beta versions, and it said that I had a registered version last week which was the last time I used it.
-
Make sure something isn't changing your clock or computer name.
-
...and whilst troubleshooting this remember not to use up all of your restores but instead download the .mjr file and run that as it's valid for 2 weeks.

I changed my computer name yesterday before I launced MC. Why would that have anything to do with it Matt?
-
It's a security feature, and I thinks that's all you really need to know. If you change the computer name you'll need to restore your license.

ya don't do that, that has been documented as far back as MJ8

(Added font effects for comedic effect.)
*envisions Used-Car-Salesman Jim in TV commercial* "For a low, low price of $39.95, we will happily dictate what you can and cannot do with your own multi-thousand computer system. But wait! There's more! At no extra cost, we will also add the option to deny you the right to question our tactics."
