Hello all,
As I've used Windows Media Player before I've filled in the Conductor tag (have much classical works)
In MC10 I did not found how to create a view schema or how to search / filter on Conductor. Als I can not find this information in the
Tag info window.
But on the file properties I found it specified in the ID3v2 tag:
ID3v2 Tag: (4248 bytes)
TPE3 (Conductor/performer re..): Hunze, J. J.
Hope I've missed something and else I hope it will be added to MC10...
Regards,
Arian

Arian, you can create your own fields in the db for this sort of thing.

Aha, but it seems to be a standard field?

I think he's asking how to access the conductor info already in the tag, put there by WMP.
Afraid, I don't know the answer.
I suspect you can't.

Sauzee, yes, I'm sure you're right - I missed that! OK, does "Update library from tags" only work for 'standard' tags or does it look for a correspondence between tag name and library field?

I've just had a play - as Arian says, Composer is already a standard field, and it's populated OK when media are imported. Right click / view / customize current view and then select the fields you want displayed.

It's not about the composer but about the conductor / performer
:-)

I only had to read that about 10 times before I realised my mistake! Sorry!

Good news! Create a field called Conductor - Tools / Options / Tree & View / Add (I ticked "Store in file tags, but I don't know if that's needed).
Select the tracks, right click, Library tools / Update library from tags. Works like a charm! Files imported after this will populate the field automatically.

Yes! :)
Thank you IanG !!
