Title: Can MC Server change file size on the fly?

I have most of my music encoded as MP3 VBR 192 or higher. Unfortuantely, listening from work using MC Server I get lots of skips that I suspect are due to bandwidth constraints at my company.

Is there a way to serve up the files at a lower bitrate without changing the original? Sounds like it could be a useful feature, although may take quite a bit of processing muscle. Thanks.
