Title: How does MC handle cover art?

I would be interested in knowing how MC handles cover art.

I am using APE embedded cover art and I was surprised to find that apparently MC extracts the cover jpg from the files and puts them into the MC/data/cover art folder.

- Does that happen during importing?
- Why is it that not every cover art file is being extracted? Some are missing!
- When APE plays a file and displays the cover art, does it retrieve the cover art from the APE file or does it look it up in the data/cover art folder?

I am trying to solve a bug and knowing more about this would help a lot. Thanks Matt & Co.

you need to turn on the option to save it in the tag

select a file, right click, Image, "Store Cover Art Inside File"
