At: http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/buy_faq10.html
We see:
--------------------SNIP-------------------
A Media Center version 9 license can be upgraded to version 10 for $9.98. This includes anyone who who started with a version 8 license and then paid to upgrade it to version 9. Either way, the price is the same.
A version 8 license can be upgraded to version 10 for $14.98
--------------------SNIP-------------------
My license falls under the first case, yet the Buy Button on upgrade insists on charging $14.98.
Should I not be a cheapskate and just be thankful that this great program is still very cheap, or do we have a legitimate bug here?
Fondest Regards and Salutations,
Dave

I'm having the same problem. Some help please?

Could you try the most recent build in one of the threads above?
-
Did you pay for version 9 or did you get the free upgrade?

Answering: "Did you pay for version 9 or did you get the free upgrade? "
I am fairly certain that I paid for an 8 license then was grandfathered to 9 during a period of conversion.
Answering: "Could you try the most recent build in one of the threads above?"
Yes indeed! I have installed version "10.0.138" released 17 May...same result - it tells me:
Media Center 10
JRiver, Inc.
$14.98 (Upgrade price.)
If $9.98 does not apply to "grandfathered" 9's - I don't read this from the documentation on upgrades.

If you paid for the V9 upgrade (not grandfathered) then the upgrade is 9.98 other wise it's the hiogher.

I said: "If $9.98 does not apply to "grandfathered" 9's - I don't read this from the documentation on upgrades."
I answer myself: Maybe I *do* read this from the documentation since it clearly states "version 10 for $9.98. This includes anyone who who started with a version 8 license and then paid to upgrade it to version 9."
I am affraid that, once again, the staff at J River are not only accurate, but concise. I am, as usual, forgetful and stupid.

A lot of people get stumped by the wording...
