The result of using automatic cover art search is that most of my ripped CDs either have the wrong picture or none at all, so I will have to add my own.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best settings for scanning CD album covers? Size, dpi etc. So far my attempts are too blotchy, too big, too small - I just can't seem to get it right.
FYI I'm using a Mustek 1200UB.

I guess it depends on what you want to do with the artwork. I just use it to identify the albums in thumbnail view in MC, so I use 128x128 pixel dimensions, and that works fine for me. I don't know you should use if you intend to print the covers at any later stage, but I would use the original physical dimensions (roughly 12x12 cm) at a resolution of at least 150 dpi...

I scan mine at 300 x 300 @ 96dpi. That is the size of the larger images that Amazon uses. Note that Windows XP likes its "Folder.jpg" images to be 200 x 200, so I wouldn't go any smaller than that.
