Title: Can't convert wav to MP3

bug; cannot convert format

When I try to convert a WAV file to MP3 VBR Custom by any means, MC (.138) crashes with a media core error. This has been the case with the last 4 builds. I posted regarding this after installing .134 but received no response....hoped it had beeen fixed. but? I have seen another post in the Media Center board describing the same problem, so my situation is not unique. Anyone else?

Is there anything special about the wav files?

I don't think this is a bug.  We're not seeing it frequently.

Thanks for the reply, Jim. There is nothing peculiar about the file as far as I can see. I've never had a problem converting before this particular file though, now that you mention it (it's the same file I've been having the problem with). I'll try a different one and see if the problem persists.
