For all the audiophiles and music lovers on this forum; this is a heads up about a new software program that claims to rip and upsample your CD's to DVD-A quality (upto 24/96). You then burn the result to blank DVDs for playback on any standard DVD Video player! Claims as much as 45 hours of music on a DVD.
I haven't tried it yet, but if you are interested, there is a free 14 day demo download at: www.eximius.nl.
To purchase it costs 49.99 euros. The only thing I read that I didn't like is that the software is locked to a single computer and only allows "five hardware changes" on the computer. I'm not sure what qualifies as a hardware change.

MC can upsample your material during playback using DSP Studio.
Lots of good DACs oversample during playback to give a similar effect.
Remember that there's no real way to improve the noise floor or frequency response from the original though.
It's like trying to see more detail in a 1 megapixels image by stretching it a bunch. It gets bigger, but new detail isn't added.
