Title: Auto Number Name Properties?

Is there a way to control and apply auto numbering to the Name tag field?

I get these instructional disks with 100+ tracks and want to name them easily for reference in the mp3 player.

First, "selact all", then in library tools you could use: "fill track numbers from list order". (before selecting all. edit the order of the tracks by drag 'n drop if you need to).

I found a program called Magic File Renamer that can rename all kinds of id2, id3 and custom tags within mp3 files.
