Title: Recording audio tracks from DVD

While at the Home Entertainment show in NYC last weekend, I picked up a couple of incredible multi-channel recordings.  They both sound great played through my DVD or DVD Audio player.  However, I'd like to get the stereo mixes into a WAV file for easy playback though MC10.  Is this possible?  Unfortunately, I don't have the option of getting a CD because these recordings are only available on DVD audio/video.

What I have:
TheaterTek DVD player
M-Audio AP2496 audio
MC10

I tried to setup MC10 to record the SPDIF out from TheaterTek, but all I got was silence.

Note, I'm not trying to steal anything.  I just want to be able to hear these wonderful recording in places where I don't have DVD, or it isn't practical to play a DVD.

There have been discussions on the subject here, but I couldn't find them. You should modify and add "from DVDs" the "subject" to hopefully attract those that have dealt with this subject.

I tried the DVD-audio-ripper link, but it didn't find all the audio tracks on my DVD.  It says the trial will only record 5 minutes of audio.  Perhaps, several of the songs are longer so it doesn't even show them?  Before I drop $30, I want to know.

The other link about using DVD Decrypt might work.  Although, I wasn't having much luck finding the best place to download it.  Any suggestions?

DVD Decrypter to rip to VOB, then BSweet to batch convert VOB to WAV.  Both free.

Very cool!  Thanks!  Of course, when I tried this again last night, my DVD drive decided to die on one of my machines.  I can read any CD, buy DVDs are a no-go.  For now, I will keep loading it up in the regular DVD player.

Interesting from the faq:

19. My DVD drive cannot play DVD after installing ImTOO DVD Ripper? What's wrong?
A: ImTOO DVD Ripper automatically installs the new version of ASPI driver when installing. If your software DVD player doesn't support the new version of ASPI, it won't work. You don't have to uninstall ImTOO DVD Ripper, just need to reinstall your software DVD player or burning software to restore ASPI.
 
I will try this tonight.  I tried to re-install the CD/DVD drivers, but I didn't think to re-install the player as well.

This really annoying.  I uninstalled DVD ripper and re-installed PowerDVD, but I still can't access DVDs.  What's the best way to get ASPI to fully roll back?
