Title: iRiver iHP-1xx/H1xx Tag Database
Post by: Jim L on May 27, 2004, 05:47:30 pm
Hi,

I've just discovered TDT for the iRiver iHP-1xx/H1xx series of players:
http://tdt.sourceforge.net/ (http://tdt.sourceforge.net/)

Quote
Tag Database Tool (TDT) is a replacement for the software provided by iRiver for creating the tag database file iRivNavi.iDB, which is slow and only supports MP3 tags. TDT is quicker (much quicker with the -length flag) and supports WMA and OGG as well as MP3 (ID3v1 and ID3v2) tags. Files and folders can be automatically renamed by TDT if the name exceeds the player's 52 character limitation

It seems to work really well. It would be great if MC did something similar; are you thinking of doing anything like this?

Perhaps. How we are going to integrate iRiver players more than what we have is undecided at this point.

The new Moodlogic software from iRiver might also do the trick that this third party software does.  :)
Only renaming files and folders is not a feauture (yet).
