Title: installing license help

i had a hard drive crash and had to have a new one installed. now i am trying to register media center  but am baffled on how to make it work. i have gotten registration code and an installation code by e-mail but cannot figure out what i am do do with them. when i paste in the registration code on the internet it just replies with a really long code. anyone? help?
