my installation consist of MC10, Windows Media Player 9 and Real Player v10.
My problem:
Some radio stations need the real player format and when calling this stations one error message pops up saying: "cannot determine the revision level of real player it must be revision 6 or higher, do you wish to download the newest software?
I guess this is nonesense and want to know what I can do to have MC10 properly working with the Real Player v10.

Try the latest MC here:

If it still doesn't work, let us know.
Thanks.

After installing the new version 100145, it does't connect to the internet at all.

try checking your file associations in MC. You can have the associations checked in both real player and in MC 10 then choose to open withone or the other.also make sure you have the proper updates installerd for streaming etc on realplayer check updates manually there's a couple of updates in ther that should help. also i had the same problem when i had somehow instralled something called an IM tuner that came with some othersoftware, so also look at any other streaming tools you have installed.

could you be more specific on how I check what you are proposing because I don't find the positions of 'file associations'.
Currently I am using the MC 10 version 10.0.139 and not the version 10.0.145. Together with Windows Media Player 9 and Real Player v10 (latest update).
All radio stations with format 'Real Audio' or 'Windows Media Audio' want work.
All other formats do work perfectly.

MC/Settings/Options/File Associations.
There will be something similar in other players.
-
ok, I checked all formats.
The problem is still the same for Real Player.
When calling the station the program pops up the message 'cannot determine the version of real player, do you want to download and install the latest version?
The Windows Media Player works.

In the FAQ near the top of this board, there is a link to a version of Realplayer that may work better.
-
on my board there is no FAQ?
Friedemann
ps
I have loaded MC 10 version 10.0.145 and replaced it with 10.0.139 and all is working perfect, maybe there are leftovers of the 10.0.145 version that helped resolving the original problem of 10.0.139.
