Testing media center 10 before I buy it and when trying to burn a cda cd I get the error message "invalid field in cdb", on two of the eleven songs I am trying to burn. Need help quick as I need this cd for an anniversary party.

Take that back, I get invalid field in CDb in all of the songs I am trying to burn!!!
There was a bug for a few builds (including 139) that probably is causing this problem. Please try the latest version 10.
-
I just downloaded this today and it is version 10 and tells me that there are no updates available
-
That's our fault. Please try again. It should work as expected.
-
I downloaded the new version, tested one of the files and same message!
-
Did you reboot after installing?
Please describe exactly what you are doing and what kind of files you are trying to burn. Step by step, please.
Can you play them?
-
I tried again testing one of the files. It gave me too slow buffer message plus the invalid CDb field message. I have 11 mp3 and ape files I am trying to burn to a cd in cda format. I tested them and they all prepared okay but stop at writing at about 53 percent and give me the error message. I have in the past burned dozens of cd's in both mp3 and cda format with no problem.Yes I can play them. I have been testing just one file at a time to save time and see if it finally works. NO DICE!!!
-
First, we have to verify if it's a buffer under-run problem that is occurring and then figure out why it's occurring. Please try burning at 1X speed and let us know the results.
Thanks.

NO DICE!!!
Problems like this can often be unrelated to MC. Do a search for "PIO" here, for example.

I tested a file for burning in a data cd and it worked okay. I also tried in cda format and this time it got up to 73 percent before giving me the same error message. Now will covert the files to wave using mc10 and then use my regular cd burning software to see if it works.

Well coverting the format to wave, storing it on my hard drive and using Adaptec Easy CD Creator I now have a perfect cd that even plays on mc 10. I guess you have to have a lot of patience to use mj8 or mc10. The only version that would burn cd's flawlessly was old version 7. All the others worked for a while than quit working, sometimes started again but were nothing but trouble. But I love mc 10 and have already deleted mj 8 and will now buy it.
