Title: APE vs. Lossless WMA

Is one better than the other or are they the same? Why?

In terms of sound quality, they are identical as they are both "lossless".

The main benefits of APE appear to be:
1) Smaller file size
2) Less processor usage
3) More options (degress of compression)
4) A more open development path
5) Using a non-Microsoft format helps to minimise their monopolisation  ;)
