Title: No Duplicates using "Keywords"
Post by: Cindy_B on June 17, 2004, 05:55:18 pm
I am having a problem figuring out how keywords work.

I have several recorded mixes of songs with various artists.
I would like MC to recognize the artists I listed in keywords and use them to remove duplicates.   Keywords is working with single entry names (example 1) but it's not working for multiple words (example 2).  Did I forget a step?

I first copied all my "artist" entries to "keywords".
With an exact copy now in both fields I started on songs with multiple artist.  Here is an example:

[Genre]=[Groove] ~nodup=[Keywords]

(example 1)
name: All Nite (Don't Stop)
Artist: Janet Jackson
Keywords: Janet Jackson

(example 2)
name: Mix1
Artist: Various Artist
Keywords:   Madonna;Britney Spears;Janet Jackson

Is this a bug? I'm using MC 11.0.8.
Or.... I'm I not understanding the way keywords work?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

-Cindy

~nodup may not currently work with list-type fields.

Thanks for the heads up.  We'll look into it.

Okay Matt.....  I've been posting a reminder for this fix on just about every build.  (Going on 3 months.)  Any chance on this getting fixed soon?
