Title: 100 of 150 Movies not importing....
Post by: Couch on June 17, 2004, 11:45:56 pm
I'm not sure what's going on here,
File types are set accordingly,
Movies play in MC if I double click them through Windows file Explorer (but even after playing aren't imported into MC)
I've tried re-importing, rebooting, checking the Views options to make sure I'm not 'grouping' or 'filtering' anything.

Nada.

What Gives? ?

Maybe they are imported but in the wrong area or not where you're looking for them in MC.

Try searching for a file name you think isn't imported.

Also try adding some of the affected files to Playing Now using Windows Explorer and see what icon is displayed next to it.  Imported files have a different icon to non-imported files.

Well...
Ok They Imported, but not where I would expect them to be:
I found 88 of 127 .avi files under Audio.
Media Center plays them fine.
So How do I get them under the Video Library - And Why did this happen in the first place?

I'm building a new machine - all of the features of MC worked just fine on the old one....

Also I noticed MC imported .jpeg / .jpg, I deselected that...

Thanks for the help

I'm not sure that this is the case with video files .  I think the icon is exactly the same whether the file is imported or not.

Would be nice if the icons were different.

It shouldn't have happened, but you can edit the media type in file properties.
