An hot-key (and an icon) would be useful to move the focus to the currently playing track, if it is in sight. It the track is not in sight, the focus can be given to Playing Now.

CTRL+2 , switches to PN from anywhere.
Would be nice if the playlist scrolled so that the currently playing track was in the center. Only of course if the playlist extends beyond the current viewable area.
I think displaying the current track at the center would be preferable to at the top of the playlist, as it gives a better sense of perspective, where are we in the playlist and so on.

Yes, I know CTRL+2. It is one of the few hot-keys in MC.
I mean something that highlights the current track (in the center line, as you suggest) within the cirrent "view" and goes to Playing Now only if the currently playing track is not in the current "view".

Media Center has around 90 hot-keys.
For this problem, use Ctrl+2 then Backspace to return.
Or look at the bar on the top of the program to see what's playing.

Thanks Matt that is really interesting, I hadn't noticed the ability to edit the playing now info.
will have to play with that a bit.

Double-click / right-click the playing info bar at the top of the program.
Thanks, I was unaware of that. Not what I was looking for, an useful shortcut however.

Followed the instructions but still can't see how I can quickly add a note/comment to currently playing track. ?

Is there somewhere hereabouts where there is a complete listing of the hotkeys?

In the RMB context menu of the info bar, you can select "Properties (playing file)" which will jump the Action Window to the Tag Info pane with the current track's info.
Double-clicking still sets the Action Window's info to the currently playing track, but you start out at the top level, and thus need to click on "File Properties" in the AW to get to the tag info.
